Senate Approves Legislation Improving Great Lakes

The U.S. Senate approved 3 pieces of legislation relating to the improvement of the Great Lakes region. This act provides $300 million over the next 5 years, authorizes an act that helps prevent invasive species in the Great Lakes Basin. Additionally, the legislation provides funding and resources for infrastructure improvement and treatments for lead in drinking water in the Great Lakes region.
