Study to examine Toledo's water needs (Via The Blade)

By the end of 2020 city officials will know how many water towers Toledo’s water distribution system needs, where they’ll likely be built, and how much they’ll cost.

Toledo City Council on Tuesday heard a proposal from the public works department requesting $750,000 in 2018 water bond improvement funds to contract with a firm to take on a comprehensive study of the water distribution system. It’ll put out a request for proposals once council approves the funding, with a vote set for Tuesday.

The study is mandated by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, which set a completion deadline of Dec. 31, more.
