The House voted 399-25 to pass the WRDA bill this week. This bill is an $11.5 billion package that specifically includes provisions for Flint, Michigan to improve drinking water infrastructure after finding high lead levels earlier this year.

The Senate amended the Safe Water Drinking Act for the first time in 20 years, making it easier for the EPA to pass drinking water standards.

Both legislative moves are positive and exciting for water development, drinking water infrastructure, and protection for Great Lakes.
